A significant number of the invitees will represent national and global companies. The conference will open at 3 PM on October 17 with a keynote address delivered by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (Democrat, New York).
"Our goal with fuse2005 is to bring together senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, academics and other professionals with a focus on the 'big picture' of how the world-class resources we have right here in Central New York are enabling new opportunities locally as well as nationally," said Dave Montanaro, Chairman and CEO, USA Datanet. In addition to demonstrations of selected technologies, fuse2005 will feature a PitchFest with 12 to 15 entrepreneurs presenting business proposals to a panel of investors. Entrepreneurs seeking between $500,000 to $5 Million are currently being invited to submit executive summaries to a selection panel, which will choose the most promising opportunities for presentations at the conference on October 18. There will also be time allocated later in the day for all attending investors and entrepreneurs to continue the dialog and network.
